Hi all, i posted a couple of months ago in the new folk thread but have been too busy with uni exams recently.
However, now the summers here i thought i should drop by again and ask some advice.

Firstly, whats the recommendations for a set of new tyres, I currently have a set of michelin pilot power 2ct's which are fantastic but i will definately be riding through the winter, are they up to it?

Secondly, i have an Autocom system from my previous bike that id like to fit, on my ZZR it was a simple 2 sec job, just one lead on the battery, the other on a ignition fed line (connected it to rear brake light previous i think). Is there anything i need to worry about by fitting it to the RSV-R in the same way.

I wanted to post a pic of the mean machine but not sure how?

Cheers

tyres

Alright mate have a 2005 wi metzeler sporttechs first time ive used them and pretty solid hard to loose it in the wet they are **** hot my 2 pence worth m8

Welcome mate - you won't get much better than those Michelins for the road: Italian electrics are a law unto themselves to try not to disturb anything but should be OK: for posting pics, sign up with a hosting service like Photobucket, upload your pic then paste a link to it into the link box (press the Insert Link button at the top of the message box in 'advanced' mode). If that's not clear, ask for more details (dunno how computer savvvy you are:dunno).
Look forward to seeing the pics:thumbup

thanks for the responses so far guys, i agree that the michelins have been fantastic, was just a little worried about a winter running them but with to be fair I havent had any scary moments in the rain as yet. I am getting a new swingarm tomorrow (recall was never done by previous owners) so will post a pic up tomorrow if i get the chance!

Just after i bought mine I did CSS in the rain at Rockingham on non-2CT Pilot Powers and they were brilliant.

hi,i ride all year round on the comute to work every day and the 2cts are bye far the best tyers ive had

I have Bridgestone BT016's and have to say that they are awesome in all conditions.

Once again cheers for replies guys, i think im gonna stick with the pilot powers as I like them and so do a few of you on here. Also promised to post a pic up, so here goes, what do you think?

The bike looks fantastic mate. :thumbup

What do you think of the Blueflame cans on it ?

Reason I ask is that I had some on my Honda Firestorm a few (too many :dowhat) years ago, and I really loved the sound. A few of us bought them at the same time, but on different bikes, and a mate of mine stuck some on his TL1000R, but to be honest, they sounded best of all on my Firestorm :exclamation

Nice looking bike mate - I've got a BF on mine and it gives it a cool 'braaaap' type note.

I think the blue flames look real nice and sound great, I got the original cans with it when I bought the bike but just haven't bothered swapping over to them yet. And i think A303 got it spot on with the sound :)

Students these days ,,,,,,,,,, I had to wait till i was 33yrs for a mille:thumbup

Looking good m8 , shame u went for the slower shape mille :thumbup:doug

Its amazing how much money students can save if they dont drink EVERY day! I was more shocked I could afford the insurance than the bike.

Slower shaped mille, haha. Yet to see any evidence of this...
