Well it's been a few months since I went back to a Tuono and definately still smiling.
A new set of Akra slip ons and map2 done at the first service made the fueling sooo much better and after 1600 miles it's getting better and better. The only other thing that I did was fit a us spec side stand which I picked up on eBay.
Only niggle is the occasional oil pressure warning lamp when starting from hot after leaving it for 10 mins, it only shows for a few seconds and only at start up. I have searched the forum and could be just one the joys of owning an Italian bike. After all I was sick of Jap bikes being so reliable (boring). If it does become more frequent then it's back to the dealers.
Anyway, that aside, what a great bike. Now to make the most of the good weather and get out ride it.

Nice one Tony :thumbup

I'm sure I read a thread about that very problem a while ago & the fact it wasn't a problem. However try searching to make sure. Loads of peeps on here with an impressive array of info - unfortunately I'm not one of them though and I have a Gen 1 :)

Working on me fifth season with my baby and she STILL makes me smile. I think that you will have that permasmile for some time to come. Keep us posted!

Tony, look fir somat to do wae the size of yer oil filter. I think the gen 2 were fitted with a shorter one but can be changed to the longer version and I think this sorts the oil light thingy, not to sure though.

you're not wrong there, my haggis munching chum....the gen 2 changed from a short to a long filter in 2008 I think? ...anyway, the long filter can flow more oil, but the short filter has a non-return valve that stops the oil running back to sump...both have their plus points depending on your point of view..
it's not really a problem, the oil warning only comes on for a few secs at startup when it's really hot, and there have been no reported failures afaik.
if it continues to worry you, then next time you do an oil change, just swap the filter for a shortie. (you'll need a new shortie filter cover also...about £15)
