A day off work, so gave the Tuono some needed TLC (and who set up my suspension!?!)

Had a few days off work and rather than just ride my bike I decided to do some much needed TLC after 1000+ miles since owning the bike.

Cleaned, oiled and adjusted the chain. Cleaned rest of the bike and gave all the essentials a liberal coating of ACF50 ready for winter.

Then I decided to look at the suspension settings. Put it all back to stock. Most of it wasn't exactly way off, but whats going on with the front end? Whoever had it before me had dropped it down in the yolks 6 reference points. Is that a normal thing to do? I must admit, i did think it was very sharp and a little unsteady at speed!

I think mines been dropped by that amount but it has also been lowered at the rear with a different linkage so best to check that too.

Oh right? I'm really no expert on suspension. How would I tell which linkage is fitted?
Just took it for a quick run and to be fair it does feel a lot more natural and doesn't seem to get upset by bumps and wind blast as much.

I haven't got the original links so can't comment on the difference but i'm sure there are some experts on here that could. I'm 5'8'' with a short leg, I took an R out and i was on tip toe with it but the bike I bought had been lowered and I can comfortably get the ball of my foot down.

This ones definately not been lowered. I'm a similar height myself but quite used to sitting with one foot on the ground at lights. Had a KLR650 for some time and that much taller.
Not sure what the guy was thinking setting it that low at the front. Feels a lot more planted now! :)
