hi guys, still relatively new to the forum so hi! ive got an 04 rsv factory and dont think the swingarm or brake recall has been done, is there any way i can check if this has been done and am i still able to get the work carried out?
Also do any of you guys run mivv cans? having a few running issues... the bike is also runnin race mode on the ecu. im looking at getting a new performance filter and power commander to set it all up and hope this will help! just wandering if anyone running mivv's can offer any advice.
cheers
ben

If you have the updated swingarm then the chain guard/toe guard will be connected together by a black braket on the inside of the swinger.

If the toe guard is bolted directly to the frame it's the old type. Recalls have no time limits on them as they are a safety issue.

The brake has not had a recall. It had updated parts which Aprilia would replace under warranty for a while but if you want them now you will have to pay for them. I wouldn't bother, spend the money on rearsets that relocate the M/C as the updates did naff all.

Not used Mivv cans but if the bike is running rough i would suggest it's not the cans. post 04 bikes are prone to vac leaks around the Tb's and had very poor early maps.

I would get the map version checked especially if it stalls, surges etc and have the Tb's synced and the Vac pressure tested by the axone. If it's lower than 60 by any amount you have a leak.
The 04 bikes should now be running on the 05 map, see below -

software for early 04-RSVR with three wire timing sensor, AXONE ≥ 5.0.4
-664582 was the first generation map, ran poorly when switched to map-2
-664584 (file VD5G684$.BIX) first update and worked very well (first available with AXONE 5.0.2)
-664586 (file VD5G68B$.BIX) same as the map shipped with 2005 bikes
-664588 (file VD5G68Z$.BIX) map specifically to work with the EVO-6 race only pipe

software for later 04-RSVR with two wire timing sensor and 05-RSVR, AXONE ≥ 5.0.4
-664583 (file VD5L683$.BIX) same as 664584, originally installed in the later 04 bikes
-664585 (file VD5L68A$.BIX) same as 664586, originally installed in the 2005 bikes
-664587 (file VD5L68X$.BIX) same as 664588, for use with EVO-6 pipe

cheers spoonz, ill go and have a check of the swinger 2morro when i get a chance, think i may have seen the black bracket so might b ok. im not amazingly good with ecu's mapping etc but with regards to the maps and vacume pressure, where can i get this checked and or resolved/replaced?
cheers for the info m8

The Vac/Tb setting can be checked by anyone with a Gas analyser etc but the map version require someone with an axone (generally a dealer or an Aprilia independant like Griff)
