53 RSVR "Last of the best" often said.. but why?

I can see why its the best of the mille series, but it suggests something is 'wrong' with the 2004 RSV1000R Factory and onward.. seems like much the same frame, engine, forks, wheels etc.. restyled bodywork a little..

only downside I think I know of is the lack of swap in swap out chips on the 04> ?? and the clocks reset more easily than any others??

What am I missing?

have you ridden an 04> bike..they turned a bit japanesy for me

the earlier models are raw and have more of an aggressive edge to them

geometry wise they are completely different - not much you can swap between gen1 and 2 - so probably the reason its thought to be the best is that it was at its evolution end whereas the 04 was at the start of its evolution (and had a fair few issue's).

Plus the 04 on-wards really doesn't look Italian to me :/ wheres the flowing curves?? But the electrical issues made it in still lol
