I plan to grease the dogbone needle bearings at the weekend. Does onyone know if the 3 in 1 white lithium grease in aerosol form would be suitable. halfords sell it for around £5 a tin. if not, can someone suggest an alternative which is readily available off the shelf.
Thanks
Porgie

i use finish line white lithium grease on my bikes but not from an aerosol. it works well but it does dry out over time. if you plan to re grease the linkage yearly (which i would) then it's fine but if you want a more fit and forget option use something more heavy duty. A marine spec grease lasts for ages as it will handle salt water etc from the roads but it needs to be a spec able to handle a little temp otherwise it will thin and run out as previously said.

Any normal grease from a vehicle shop would do, as already stated it's best to do it once a year specially as it only take about an hour. Did mine last wkend and a load of rusty needle rollers fell out so now Ive got to source new seal and bearings. Does anyone know of a good place, aprillia want £60 odd for the two tiny bearings seals and roller shaft and even then they don't av em in stock!
