I started back in mid 2000s with a 2003 Gen 1 Tuono, then went to a wrecked 2009 Gen 2 Tuono that I repaired, installed a naked style headlight and mini windscreen , and finished up with a wrecked 2013 Gen3 Tuono.
They were all good bikes, I Still like the performance/simplicity of the Gen2 best, (wish I could have kept it).
I once rode the Gen 2 from Western Ky. to Ashville N.C.. On my way home the rear cylinder quit firing. Ran it 500 miles on 1 cylinder and still had plenty of umphhh. through Tail of the Dragon . Wound up being a bad ECU, replaced that with a part sourced from ebay and bike ran like new again.
The Gen 3 is a good bike, but not a fan of all the ride mode/control B.S. Just more elect. to go out when you least expect it.
