Has anybody heard of a 2nd gen engine being put in a 1st gen RSV? easy job? has it done before?

it can be done.
you need to drill and tap the front cylinder head for a cam sensor as per gen1 engine ,use a gen1 valve cover .
gen 1 stator and flywheel
this allows you to use the gen1 ecu with a new eprom from gabro to suit gen2 engine
this is the same way i want to go or gen2 heads on a gen1 engine.
