2016 RSV4 Remapped?

Hi All, I just purchased a 2016 RSV4 RF w/ 5,600 miles. It already has a lot of the mods that I would have done like Aprilia Rearsets, Frame, case and wheel sliders, and Austin slip-on exhaust. So here is my question: I has the small, soda can type Austin Slip-on and previous owner safety wired the exhaust flap open. It appears he removed the cables to the flap. I was told that he had the bike Re-mapped for the exhaust. How can I confirm that he remapped it? Also I would like to know if he messed with/disabled the ABS. This is my first Aprilia so I have not learned how to mess with the electronics or check the ABS set-up.

Thank You!

I take it the ABS light is not on? If it is t then it’s safe to assume it’s working. It should show when you start the bike and flash. It will then go out as you rode off over about 3.5kph or so. If the light stays on then there is an issue. You will have brakes but not abs. You can disable/enable it in the settings menu also.
As for exhaust. Removing cables leave the flap open so safe to assume that is done. It’s unlikely Aprilia mapped it as they only approved the Akrapovic one and sold ot new as an option. If you had it fitted at the dealer they would give codes to unlock the maps. If the can was after then you either need a race ecu fitted. Only way to tell is to take it to someone that does mapping and pay to have it checked. It’s possible it’s the standard map with a plug in thing that fools the dash so it doesn’t show up as a fault.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I’m getting to know the bike a little better now. Yes, the ABS lights turns off after I get rolling so looks like abs is fine. Apparently I have the Race ECU. It shows “Race” on the dashboard which I don’t think stock ECU would show it. Thanks Again!

Abs is working and yes you must have the correct ecu. Good news. Enjoy

If the light turns off after riding the bike some miles then your ABs are working properly...You don't have to worry about it.
