Guys are there any differences between MY 2015 and 2016 V4 tuono factory, trying to establish if there would be any down side to buying last years model registered this year?
Cheers in advance.

1100 factory has anything changed for 2016 or is the spec still the same as when it was released in 2015.

When I bought my 2016 factory a few weeks ago they told me that there is just a little software update compared to the 2015 factory.

I had my first ride today... :inlove omg the sound of the akra is :clap note didn't make more than 6000 rpm. Can't wait for full throttle

Ok so that clears up the issue. Now any one changed ferom a V2 Gen2 1000r tom the V4 factory is it worth the extra money?

that depends on if you want charecter and soul?

"Character and soul" are we saying the V4 is too refined and lost the raw ness that makes the Tuono what it is ?

I have had the Gen 2 from new and its been superb. I don't think its going to be traded in but if I get a v4 will I still want to ride the Gen 2 ?

there is something about the v2 that the v4 misses, dont get me wrong the v4 has a lot going for it, great sound, great handling, but its not an aprilia!!

to me the v4 is a bit of a part bin bike, if it was me doing the design and build id redo everything incl things like the rear brake carrier which is shared and totally seperate it from the v2

the build quailty has gone down since piaggio has got involved, my biggest grip is how piaggio treat customers and dealers loosing the luster of owning an italian stalion!!

my last ape i owned for nearly eight years and im a chop and changer, my lastest bike is the new zx10r and its much more machine than the v4 is

if you can have both, have both!!

I'm with 4VR on this one, I may be biased as I love twins, the V2 has loads of grunt and a great noise all in the bottom half of the range. My son has an RSV4R which is blindingly fast and sounds mega but it all happens north or 7K.

My V2 is as quick as the V4 up to a ton then the V4 picks up it's skirts and buggers off whilst my neck muscles start to scream.

I really think they are horses for courses but I have decided to throw some money at mine (Re-worked forks, radial master cylinder, 1060 big bore and airbox kit) rather than at the dearler for a V4.

Each to their own.

I've decided to stop looking at other bikes as I really like my Tuoldo, yes it's 12 years old and not as fast as newer bikes but on the road I can still keep up a reasonable pace. Next week it is being treated to a modded collector and new chip plus getting the TBs balanced. Can't wait to see the difference
