Hi all

So I think I am due new chain and sprockets... and advice on make appreciated and experiences ATM looks like D.I.D as firm contender just normal riding im no track hero.. also I read a 15t "mod" for the front? Is this ********? I can't see that mr aprilia spends millions on development to then send it to production with the wrong size cogs on...

Thanks in advance

-1 on the front +1 on the rear really livens the bike up.

Nearly all bikes are geared too tall from the factory and it's one of the first mods I do to a new bike.

I have a D.I.D gold chain and no complaints.

Talon gold rear sprocket and Ognibene run quiet front.

Also have a spare 15 tooth renthal front lol.

Cheers rizla I have to say mine seems pretty lively although not checked the size of my sprockets on it ATM. Do you mean it accelerates quicker by this mod? Does it make it revvy at motorway speeds? Or just smoother I need to look at the sizing is the 15 tooth -1 on the front?

It makes it accelerate harder, better pull out of bends, easier to ride at town speeds.

Win win win

All my riding is twisty back roads rather than dual carriageways or rmotorways. yes it will be revving slightly higher at any given speed, but it is a fantastic mod.

It also helps reduce wear on the front tyre! :lol
- It's a great mod. Unless you like to do high speed cruising on the continent (which isn't much fun), then std gearing might be better

Don't really do a huge amount of motorway miles to be honest so may be worth doing [emoji4] got my 12k looming... Boo

What size sprockets does the Tuono V4R come with from the factory.
