2006 Aprilia RSV1000R FACTORY
I have owned this bike for less than a year. It’s a real shame to see her go as she is incredible to ride, but I have 2 children and a third on the way so my weekend rides are out of the window, and she is far too nice for commuting into London which is all I am using her for currently.
This is a pretty rare bike, and if you are looking at this ad you probably know the reputation that these bikes have.
My previous bike to this was a 2011 R1, and although that was faster in a straight line the Aprilia will beat the Yamaha hands down in the twisties. The lightweight wheels and decent brakes mean that she turns so fast and really gives you the confidence to brake a lot later.
MOT is 11th July 2015 – Had 1 advisory as the radiator grill is loose – it still is
This bike is standard except from the following
Aftermarket double bubble screen (F.FABBRI)
Akrapovic Titanium / Carbon end cans with removable baffles (original cans also included)
Aftermarket Levers (V-Trec)
Official Rear Seat Cowl (Rear seat included)
Twin USB sockets near Dash (for charging phones ect)
Datatag (not currently registered to me but ready to transfer, with spare dots)
Datatool System 3 alarm (Thatcham1, 2 Fobs)
Small number plate (original included)
Ram stem mount with universal phone case – so you can use sat nav – and have it powered through the USB
Comes with ABBA superbike stand you can see in the pics – it’s a fantastic stand that she lives on most of the time – very easy to use and stable
As this is the Factory it comes with-
Lots of Carbon Fibre
Öhlins fully adjustable suspension front and rear
OZ lightweight forged wheels
Uprated Brembo brakes.
GOOD POINTS
12,000 miles backed up by old MOT’s
HPI checked when I bought it (06/05/2014)
Comes with all the original paperwork as well as a massive file of receipt and history. Even the original sales brochures and newspaper cuttings. Someone has cherished this bike!
Only done 2000 miles since last MOT
Garaged every day since I have had her and the previous owner.
2 Keys (one unused) 2 alarm fobs
BAD POINTS
I dropped her on some gravel at 2mph –shouldn’t have tried the tight turn on gravel. Caused the rash you can see on the left hand fairing and bent the clutch lever – hence the new levers. All the rash is visible in the pictures
Has a slight melt on the dashboard screen caused by bright sunlight. I have tried to show it on the picture but it’s not very big and doesn’t affect view of anything.
A little bit of my waterproof trousers has melted on a little of the exhaust (just being picky really)
Doesn’t come with Front wheel stand you can see in the pics.
She really is a lovely bike and still turns heads – the exhaust sounds amazing (I don’t use the baffles) and she rides really well. That said please remember she is now 9 years old so not in showroom condition.
I have taken loads of pictures – I had just finished washing her so please note she still pretty wet in them
Happy for you to come and view – I’m around most evenings, I know the dark is not the best but I do have a well lit garage
