2004 tuono rear brake came on and locked up on its own,

Hi all, I just bought my 2004 tuono. And was riding today sat at 60 (behind a police car so didn’t overtake) and the back brake came on hard and locked up I hadn’t even pressed it. Luckily enough I wasn’t cornering or going at speed. what could cause this to happen?

Probably not enough play in the brake pedel .... pads / caller and fluid got hot.... fluid expanded and caused the brake to activate.

Assume the caliper freed off when it cooled down... if so adjust so more play in it....

what felix said seen it happen a few times over the years.
free play in the pedal is the first place to check
