I've just posted my huge advert on EBay. Item 320883388881. So, there's not much point in repeating it all here. It's a gorgeous, highly original and totally sorted example. 12,300 miles, basically 2 owners from new. Fully Griff'd. I have no choice: business pressures are forcing the sale. It's such a fantastic bike. And I want it to go to someone who really appreciates it and will properly look after it. It's been so well looked after throughout its life. So hopefully the forum will provide the right person before the randomness of Ebay kicks in. Priced to sell at £4000 firm. Located Shaftesbury, Dorset. Email me on [email protected] or call 07768 816168 9am-10pm daily. Or chat here. Many thanks. Richard

good luck with the sale

but dont believe everything you read on the web

"There were also no exotically spec’d limited edition versions of the later bike, except the stillborn carbon-bodied Nera which in the end was a non-Factory, dealer-fit special with sub-standard carbon. "

def. not a dealer special..factory backed all the way including set of personalised dainese lathers, factory tour and vip invite to a motogp round

Thats a shame Rich. Im only in Blandford. Would have been nice to go for a ride with another mille owner :)

Thanks for the MCN link. I agree - that's what I thought. But I didn't get this info from the web - I got it from the horse's mouth. Kinda. I do a fair bit of business in Italy and the main man of a big carbon parts manufacturer and an Italian bike-journalist friend of his told me that the Nera was never followed through. At least in nothing like the manner Aprilia envisaged. The factory bolted a very few together, but the vast majority became dealer retro-fit kits using factory-supplied bits. They may have been sold as 'factory built' along with the leathers and so on, but only a couple were Works-built machines. At least, that's what the carbon manufacturers told me. Of course, my advert copy doesn't hang around but I don't want to put mis-information on RSV Zone. I'll endeavour to double-check.

A Blandford Mille bonding opportunity missed.... Silly of me. I have to say, one of the best things about Milles is how rewarding they are to ride among. Rider and machine meld together in a really hunkered-down and purposeful way, in a way that Tamburini Ducatis just don't manage. I love following another one. The sound alone... Thanks for the good wishes diamatt. I really am upset about my decision. But I'll be back.

Gorgeous bike that, shame you have to sell. I wish I had £4000 to spare. Good luck with the sale!

Good one. You probably should've asked a bit more, but easy to say that with hindsight!

Hope the money gets you what you need.

Rob :)
