Apologies for the double post - also posted in Mille section - but occurred to me that the fork on my 2003 Mille R (radial brakes) is like the ones on the 1000Rs
Hi,
I've just had my fork seals done and when I got the bike back from the shop it felt absolutely horrible! I set about adjusting the suspension (1st time I've done this) to the manual's recommended settings as a starting point.
I changed the pre-load and rebound no problems at all (top of fork), however when adjusting the compression the right fork leg seemed to work flawlessly, as per the bikes manual, but I could not get the left fork screw to lock out - no matter how many clockwise turns I made.
Am I doing it wrong? - is it knackered? - has the bike shop not set it up correctly?
Additionally - do the settings have to be identical on each fork - or will I cause damage by riding it?
As always any help is greatly appreciated
