2002 mille odeometer

Can anyone shed any light on as why after clocking 700 miles , the odeometer reset to zero . Normally the clock should go upto 999 etc before zeroing again . This was after a weekend away down somerset and I was guaging the fuel range etc so that buggered up my experiment . I wouldn't have thought you could alter range on the odeometer , could ?

new battery last year , 14 bs and connections are tight so bit of a puzzle really . The reading changed as I was traveling up the M6 .

Its because you reached 1000 kilometres, the clocks think in kilometres rather than miles. My bike does exactly the same. Nothing wrong as such, its just how they work. :thumbup

Thats good to know then although cant understand how you can change kph to mph but the change over does not alter the trip meter . Another italian quirk eh! you gotta to love em .

Interesting answer, and I thought it was due to the fact he was travelling in the North, strange things happen in the North.
