Not long had my bike. So far it is completely standard. I've done abit of reading through the forums to get an idea of what mods to do so I'm on the look out. Obviously all these parts are abit expensive combined so I'm not looking to buy everything at once but I'm looking for the usual stuff :

- Exhaust
- Hooked/Renegade airbox
- Rearsets
- Chip
- Levers

So on and so on!

exhaust first... as you can fire your standard chip on to a 2nd map to accomodate..
you will have to buy a chip along with the renegade airbox to get the most of it.. i'd highly recommend one of the dr. rossi variety.. you might also want to invest in some earplugs after doing this mod...
levers you can get the spazzos on ebay for £40 odd, and are every bit as good as pazzos...

I'm looking forward to hearing the bike once it has an exhaust and new airbox fitted. I've only ever had one other v-twin and that was completely standard to. Im watching a few exhausts on eBay at the minute. And someone's just put a hooked type airbox on there to, Not sure who it's made by though. But I'll keep an eye on them auctions.

I can do you a new airbox kit in kevlar for £125 or Carbon for £155, I also have a set of 57mm TB's for sale. If you are running standard gearing another good mod is 16/44.

Hi Mark,
All the the 2nd hand airbox's are going for around £100 ish. So there's not a lot of difference in price to get a brand new one. Are these like the Renegade kits? How much would it cost for the carbon airbox and the bigger throttle boddies?
Cheers, Lee

Hi Lee,

Yes the filter kit is a Renegade style, here is a pic for you. I will do the filter, TB's, adapter plugs for the injectors and 60mm Tuono velocity stacks(these give better power in the mid range) for £300 inc postage.

why are the kevlar cheaper? the materials are surely the same price...

i like how yours incorporates the filter for the oil breather into the plate.. something im going to have to do on mine as it's currently just cable tied on to the fuel return line... it's been said there's not alot of performance gains to be had with the larger throttle bodies unless you start to properly start tuning your motor..

the renegade style kits make a good difference in the mid range along side a chip... i really do recommend some ear plugs as the sound of the intakes actually hurts, i still haven't got around to getting some and actually have to wind off at times it's that loud i can actually feel my ear drums throbbing lol it's a seriously addictive noise though...

Hi Mark,

As much as I would love the bigger throttle bodies I think that will have to be a modification for the future. I will still have to buy an exhaust and chip yet so unfortunately don't have the money for everything at once. I do want one of your airbox's though. Other than the materials is there any major differences in the Kevlar and carbon box?

I am looking forward to hearing that induction noise everyone talks about. Hopefully make the sound of normal twin engine sound a lot more interesting when combined with an exhaust.

Turbo Kevlar is cheaper.

Lee, the only difference is the material, just let me know when you want one.

Cheers

suppose it depends on the weight and weave of the kevlar, but any of the stuff i've ordered has been slightly more expensive than the carbon.. im assuming you have a supplier in the uk for your composite supplies? just curious as myself and a friend are currently in the process of manufacturing carbon tanks... :)

Sent you a PM Mark.

I'm watching an akra end can on eBay, anyone got one of these? What are they like? Thinking of bidding on it and then getting the collector modded.

So I didn't end up winning the auction for the akra exhaust that was on eBay. It ended up going for £155. I'm starting to get a little confused as to how much a second hand exhaust could sell for. I saw a full Leo Vinci system sell for £200 a couple weeks ago which is only £50 more than the price of just the akrapovic end can.

Anyway I've seen this scorpion exhaust and i really like the look of it. But how much is something like that really worth? Has anyone had a scorpion can on a Rsv? I had one on my first R6 and it was really quite.
