So I parked Frankie in the back of the garage in the last week of September and he has sat there ever since, but today I finally got a chance to try and start him.
1st attempt failed
2nd attempt failed
However 3rd attempt with a helping hand from a spray bottle of avgas down the t.b's and he burst into life , settled down to his usual lumpy idle until this hideous smell with some smoke started coming from the belly pan, a quick shutdown a torch and I find a dead rat in said belly pan now cooking nicely as it was up against the manifolds .
Rat removed and Frankie ran for another 30 mins and was put back to bed until April.
Moral of the story if bike is laid up for a bit check it carefully first before starting !
