R

redratbike

Hi all,

Been sitting on the outside reading everyone elses threads for a while now.Bought a 2000 mille back in may and got off to bad start didnt know if i'd made the right choice but i wouldnt sell it for the world now...unless its for an "R" model.
Has the usual can, chip and airbox mod,..probably only going to change the gearing to a 16/44 set-up before i summer and change the rear subframe so i can carry passengers.

who do you recommend for chain and sprockets????

Bye for now

Welcome on aboard redratbike. If you are looking for chain and sprockets, you won't go far wrong with bandcexpress click me sir.

Change the rear subframe for passengers? If yours isn't an R squire, then you should already have a twin seat subframe in there :thumbup

Enjoy the zone :pirate

welcome to the zone run renthal 15/42 no problem which helps a lot:thumbup

Welcome to the forum Redratbike.

If your running a 42T rear sprocket then just stick a 15T front on. Gives you the same as 16/44.

You can pick up a 15T Renthal sprocket off Ebay for as cheap as £12 don't pay more than £18 as you can get them from your local shop for £18.

If you are replacing the lot as a set and you are going the 16/44 route then you can't beat B and C as they other guys have said.

Excellent quality and excellent customer service and advice.

PS. Make sure your chain/sprocket pitch is correct when ordering, should be 525 but could be 520.

Hello :thumbup I have a talon 16t, renthal 44t and 108 link DID chain (close fit with that lengh tho') makes these bikes come alive with a 16/44 set-up :doug

forgot to add you can also get this stuff from rsvr.net click me

Hi Redratbike & Welcome too:thumbup

Firstly if you've got a 2000 Mille and not the 'R' version you shouldn't have to change the rear subframe surely unless prev owner had taken it off.:dowhat

Like AMB said i would also look at the 15t front and 42t rear setup.:thumbup

Enjoy your Ape and look for the Rideout posts.

Heres to some Warmer weather.:devious:devious

Thanks Guys for all the replies...

Def. going to sort the gearing before the summer,as for the subframe,i think ,my bike may have had some damage in the past and only a single subframe has been fitted...but careful ebay shopping blagged subframe seat and pegs for about £80 so not too bothered and i can always sell the single subframe to a racer to recoup some cash.

thanks again

I have a 16/43 any idea what sort of top end does it give any ideas ????????
