15t or 16t???

B

BIG UN

want to upgrade the front sprocket guys, without swapping a newish std chain.does that rule out the 15t one?
is there a big change in the bike from the 17t down to a 16t,if so,how big a change would a 15t be?
thanks to anyone in the know:thumbup

15, it the same as a 16 44 which is what most people get, just be prepaired for the power wheelies

i went 1 down on the front and moved the wheel back about 3 or 4 knotches then put +2 on the rear and moved the wheel back to its original position

cheers guys,so if i leave the standard rear sprocket and chain on and drop 2 t off the front sprocket ill be fine at that ? (power wheelies no probs lol)

lol ms,it wont make it un rideable then mate, just more fun?

More ridable,

If you spent all day seaching through all the threads you'd find the summary would be.

Race can/system
Gearing (16/44 or 15/42)
PC III
Renegade air filter
and dont forget the corsa III's

Then some decent dyno time (as gordon ramsay would say) super quick mille
DONE!

There's not an awful lot of difference to be seen on the road between 15/42 and 16/44.

Personally, I run 16/44. But thats really only because I bought the Renthals and Tsubaki chain as a set in those sizes.

A mate of mine runs 15/42 and I've tried his bike, feels very similar in gearing to mine.

Horses for courses, and all that. :thumbup

Whatever you do, gearing wise, be prepared for a major shock in performance increase!!!

Honestly, swapping gearing feels like someone has bolted on another 50bhp to your Mille.....!!!!
