I can regularly get 160 miles out of a full tank of unleaded with steady riding, with the light coming on at about 130-140. I might try the superunleaded to see what the difference is :thumbup

Would there be any problems using superunleaded in the older engines :dunno

jeez !!

iv done 4 fill ups (brimmed)... the fuel light comes on @ 82-83 miles... without fail !! :biggrin

been keeping an eye on the mileage... ...

86 miles @ 12.37L (17t)
85 miles @ 13.16L ""
97 miles @ 15.02L ""
82 miles @ 13.92L (16T)

i know its running rich but getting that sorted this sat... & it all involves start/stop traffic in London... but bleedin el... 155 miles !?

i think i might swap from unleaded to super unleaded !!!! :biggrin

ps my previous bike... CBR 600 would do 140 miles to 13L !! :eatcorn

pps my old XJR would do 115 miles to 15L... so similarish !? :biggrin

:thumbup That is what I have been getting on both my rsvr's . I only use the super that has been recomened and on the new 07 it says to only use super cheers d

yeah i tend to get between 120 and 130 miles on a tank with normal petrol on my rsv, and i think it needs the carbs balancing!!! maybe it has an endurance tank, costs me £16 to fill up from light and does about 130 miles. does that seem good or what? and i dont hang about...
wanna try 4star but its real expensive, might get more MPG on that as it was designed for more power and mpg......

When ya say 4star what do you mean as original 4star was leaded and ya dont wanna be putting that in :dunno

I had 147 miles a couple of weeks ago on mine with a metal 18 litre tank. But heh I only weigh a tad over 12stone so i should get good mileage.:)

im a fat ******* and it still went the milage stated. whats wrong with using 4 star? apart from the price tag of £1.50 per litre!!!!!!! :O

Nothings wrong with it but i personally wouldnt, the people i know that do run a ratio of 4 unleaded to 1 leaded

155 miles.......!!!!!!!! I'm lucky if I ever break the 100 miles per tank & that's absolutely brimmed!!

.......sure you haven't had it converted to diesel;??????
