does having a 15 tooth fron sprocket affect the accuracy of the speedo ?

I went to 15/42 and noticed no difference between the speedo and speed reported by my Zumo - still off by about 8% which I understand is designed into speedos.

I don't think that it would effect the odometer as I'm fairly certain that distance is calculated off of the speedo. I'll double check on my next ride - which won't be today as it's pissin rain - with my gps.

I asked that question when Skinners stuck ma sprocket on and he says its ok , just dont change yer rear sprocket bolts with titanium ones as the sensor picks up off them.

speedo actually counts the disk bolts as they go around. If you swap for non magnetic fancy bolts it stops working :)

A lot of bikes have a mechanical drives from the gearbox, or the sensor is in the gearbox hence final drive changes bollox the speedo's
