Dopey prick I am....just checked the specs on 2014 (1000) and 2015 (1100) and they both have 15 /42 sprockets as standard. Is it the earlier that are 16 front.

16 front is on the 2013 Tuono....fit the 15 and calibrate

I've got a 14. Thought I might have improved it for around the burbs....I've only ridden the 14 and 15 (1100) and the 1100 was a bit smoother on take off. And if that's my only gripe, I'm happy.

I've got a 14 plate 1000 and the front sprocket is 16t standard, even though it says 16t in the manual i removed the spocket cover and counted the teeth, definitely 16t.

Nope, page 193 in the manual "Final drive gear ratio" 16/42, as said above, 14 plate ABS.

You're correct...I checked my book also, final drive 16/42. Online specs say its 15/42, so I checked the dealer thru the vin number and it's a 16t sprocket....beauty....

Just had the 15t sprocket fitted and what a pleasure to ride in traffic now.

I bought a second hand 12 plate with a 15 tooth front sprocket rode it twice put it back too standard :thumbup each too there own :dunno

OK... I didn't originally get the sense of your sentence! :) Reads better "...front sprocket is 16t standard. Even though..." ;)

Just ordered a 16 tooth front sprocket to replace 17 std item on my Gen1 from JTS.

So looking forward to a wee bit more acceleration in due course:thumbup
