Right guys, looking for some info here!!

What are the real world pro's and con's of this?? I suppose my main worry is reliability and whether the cost (how much are we talking here???) outweighs the benefits??

If i do it, it will be on the small valve 2000 model engine, so again, is this really a viable option????:dunno

i'm thinking of doing it too alongside the turbo! cost-wise it's 1450 dollars without transport. no reliability issues because the pistons are the same weight as the original... my street mille is a 2000 too :)

jhs racing quoted me £2300 ride in ride out for bigbore headwork and cams

..personally now i'd spend it suspension

Quite a lot mate really innit!! Think I'll just keep saving up for a track ready RC8R!!

Andi,

We are doing 1103 kit's ready to fit for £1500 exchange for your existing barrels. These have been well tried for reliability on street and track bikes without any problems, we are in the process of building 2, one mine and one a very trick customer bike (think £15,000 spent on a factory, details to come soon:devious) and will have one on the dyno in around 2 weeks, so watch this space.:thumbup

Ooohhh keep me posted bud!!! Interested!!"

i had my race engine in at southern cross motorcycles having the 1060 done when i had the tri colour

i had the cp kit to go in, but on strip down of engine to commence work they found damage on the heads so i didn#t go through with it in the end

You want to work the head for optimum, slot the cams, have the bigger valve heads & something else i can't rememer now
would of been 150bhp ish & 95lbft ++ if i remeber right

If you are going to the expense of a big bore kit i'd fit 04> heads as these flow better than any earlier heads as stock basically sp heads

guys on af1 have done it...not that hard

you'd get the real benefits of the 1060

and would be cheaper then having the standard heads flowed ported polished whatever they need

Liking Mark's kit........looking forward to seeing the results of this!!!!
