Hello everyone
Recently joined this forum, I have a 08 tuono factory, looking into new tyres, Iv heard different things and I know tyres are personal choice, but what could people recommend for this bike? Is has battlax 016 rear, Michelin power 2ct front, on bike when bought! The front handles like c*#p, just leaning the bike round islands I feel it slipping like it’s been greased, could anyone help cheers

Continental tires work great especially the motion series

I suspect if you get 10 replies to this question you will get at least 12 opinions :) . Tyre choice seems to be very much personal preference - some will opt for the stickiest race rubber they can get while others go for a more rain-friendly or hard-wearing option. Dont think you can necessarily rely on recommendations - depends to a large extent on how, when and where you ride. Whatever you choose hope you have fun!

Hi Martin the Bridgstone S22 gets very good reviews I had a set last summer on my V4 then back to the Michelin road 5 for winter and last week back to the S22 and the front end felt really good yesterday with a 260 mile ride into Wales started off damp then dried up and got pissed on in Llanberis then back to dry roads , they take a bit longer to warm up than a sport touring tyre , when I leave home I have 4 roundabouts in first 1.2 miles and 5th at 2 miles so I can really feel the difference with cold tyres when I am coming home they all feel bloody great but the S22 really feel great to the 5's . I dont think you can go wrong if you buy any of the latest top brand tyre but living in the UK I would say don't buy a full on sport track tyre because we have cold days and when out it can be so changeable and are riding is very stop start with all traffic lights speed restictions , as Ian said every one has their tyre choice and how do you ride and in what condition and what do you think is the right mileage to get . 2 weeks ago I was out with 3 guys on new KTM SDR's for a 320 mile ride they get 1500 miles out of the S22 I get 4200 and when they had Tuono V4 800m out of the supercorsa and that day I was on worn out road 5's so no one can tell you the right tyre .

cheers for that, I have been looking around, I have had different tyres all time on different bikes so it’s hard to gage what my favourite is, my Ducati I put s21’s which were good, the place where I get the tyres they said 5’s are good, but also offered metzeller rd tec 01 se which are bit cheaper, but had good write up on mcn, nothing can be worse that’s on now never had odd tyres,

When I was talking to my tyre guy last week he said the tyre rep's and company people don't get why the Road 5 is out selling the competition something like 6 to 1 because the Road 5 never wins in the comparison tests and they don't do massive advertising , think it must be down to mates and forum chat. When I went in for my last sport touring tyres I had made my mine up they would be Continental Road Attack 3 but that month Michelin had a £ 30 rebate on the pair so that swung it for me and I knew what I was getting so came out with my 5th set of Road 5's .My average mileage over the 5 sets is 5362 m . Next time it will be Continental . I was close this time to but Conti Sport Attack 4 but got the S22 again on the S22 a couple of guy's I know say on the S21 the front really let them down but the 22 front is really good

I used to run Angel GT's on my factory, 32F and 34R, they worked well enough in all conditions.

Was aye Dunlop Sportsmarts but last 2 set have been Michelin Power RS. Fantastic grip and for a very sporty tyre surprisingly good feel in the wet. Last as long as the Dunnis as weel. Think they are called Power 5 now. Have one set aside tae fit soon so will be able tae gie a test report efter its on.
