Hi ,the time taken building my 06 tuono special (after a crash)I have now just bought a 54 plate tuono racing,i know not many were built,does any one out there know roughly how many!!!! :thumbup

I don't think they were a "limited edition" as such, unlike the Tuono with carbon/kevlar bodywork/twin cans, where only 250-300(?) were made.
Great choice though mate, hope you're happy with it. Certainly a head-turner!!! :thumbup

Here Down-under we only have 1 type of number plate. What are these "54" & "58" type plates all about? Can you post a picture of the special ?

54 and 58 plates just tell you when the bike was first registered so 54 is a 2004 bike and a 58 is a 2008. I'm pretty sure the racing wasn't a limited edition. The original RSVR ltd Tuono were made in a run of 200.

I think that the tuono racing is the limited edition of 200.Full carbon body work,Race carbon headlight cowl and belly pan,ohlins front&rear,white forged oz wheels,etc.Brought following the launch of the tuono for a one make challange but at £12k many sat around.Then the factory T came out in same spec bar all the carbon.At

The original RSVR Tuono was definitely the limited edition of 200, complete with numbered plaque on headstock (mine being no. 35) . The racing was for one make race series and had the goodies you mentioned but wasn't made as a limited run. In addition to the carbon/kevlar bodywork,Oz wheels and Ohlins mine also came with a race can and chip and an extra set of vinyl seats.
