'04 - '09 Exhaust Can onto a '02 ???

Hi guys I was looking at buying a r/h can from a '04 plate RSV to fit to my '02 (after its been cored) as I want to keep the bike looking standard and prefer the finish on the later exhausts, has anyone attempted to fit one before?? I would guess that I'd need to get a link pipe made up??

there was 1 on ebay, dunno if it's still listed, he welded a 02 link pipe to a later cored can

Spoke to the guy the other evening and he sent a few pics over, picking up today - pictures to follow.

Anyone mot'd there's with the cored cans fitted, did it pass ok?? I know that they'll have all the relevant markings being standard but how loud are they?
