Hi, looking to turn my 02 back to stock, is the ohlins steering damper standard equipment? or did it come with a cheapo one / none fitted?

i believe that only the mille R's came with ohlins damper. i've got standard mille and didn't come with one at all.
I've got the 01 and the other half has an 02 neither of these had steering dampers on, it was only the R that came with them as standard.
my r has a knackered ohlins one on so send me your good one i will send you my knackered one and you can not fit it to keep it standard what a plan

Then I believe the standard non-adjustable item on your 2 bikes has been removed.
Aprilia Yorkshire's exploded drawings and parts list show under steering, the 2 different dampers for the the standard, and the R version.
The standard non-adjustable item (I think standard on the non R models 98-03) is a red anodised colour damper, fitting in exactly the same place as the Ohlins unit.
My '99 standard Mille definitely had one on.
