Ok peeps I am mulling on a trip overseas this year and was wondering what the best tank&tail bag for a 01 mille model would be if any1 has had the opportunity to do some touring ???

Depends on budget as always . Tried my set of 65ltr oxford throwovers from my Blackbird/ zx12 days , they fit ok enough but just didn't look right . Ventura and kriega are possibly the best solution out there for a sports bike , cost around £270 for the ventura ( 51ltr bag ) and as I have done , £ 95 for a 30 ltr kriega dry bag , of course you can get different sizes .
 
i got a renntec rack on my mille - works well.. used through france and spain.. although i think the ventura is better..

:devious LOL thats whole reason to go abroad to get away form all that sh*te be on ur game and fix things as they arise and not have the other half ( probs at the wrong time of the calendar year) BITING/CHEWING OR EVEN KNAWING you cos you made a wrong turn etc. ..................the whole point is to get away (for me anyhows).....if I could fond a nice young girlfriend ie. 24-34yo then yes please I would hire her a van if she wanted to follow me back to her native Estonia...................I DOUBT IT VERY MUCH....would be laugh though....as long as she carried lots of rubber....ahem I meant tools............:biggrin

you guys must come over from the uk for a trip to sa. a mate of mine has a b&b in the heart of motorcycle heaven. Dirt cheap to stay a night. Would be a good break from your unpleasant winters. check out my vid rsv war machine, that is just a fraction of the quiet roads in the area. ( well quiet when the bikers aren't there lol )

. this how the bike looked with the oxford lugage on. Bit bulky really but dare say some folk can live with it .
 
Yup these look pretty good enough for what I need plus a tail bag to sit in the middle and i should be good to go...........what about small tank map bags though as the tank is plastic????
