after my bike getting knocked over... it would'nt start... tried all the usual suspects... tilt switch etc... but to no avail... so waited for the outcome on the settlement before spending money on it getting repaired !! :devious

anyways... its at Southern Cross... they phoned me saying the fuel pump has a plastic pipe inside thats split... & id need a new fuel pump @ around £220-240ish... so i asked how much exactly... he went onto his fiche parts screen... then said... "oh... its shows you can buy seperate parts... so the tube is £20" !! :biggrin

apparentley the later models you have too buy the complete pump !? :dunno

anyways... i should be picking her up this sat... & hopelfully the problem will be solved... id of never of found the problem myself... lol !! :eatcorn
 
well... lol... im hoping to get 57mm TB's & Dr Rossi chip... a HOOKED air kit... bodywork was undamaged... but the decals are faded so im going to replace them with IMAGE WORKS ones !! :biggrin

end of the day though... its now a CAT D... so value wise probably only worth £1100... which just so happens what i paid for it before the damage !! :devious

but its a good healthy bike (118bhp with standard can) so im still willing to spend money on it !! :thumbup

if/when i sell it... il just put it back too standard & sell the tuning bits on !! :eatcorn
 
maybe this is a downside from not riding a jap bike... well there has to be 1 at least i guess... & its the only one i can think of so far... ... im still awaiting the fuel pump pipe from Aprilia... lol !! :eatcorn
 
Good job Don is a decent guy as I guess some pleaces would have made you buy the fuel pump anyway.
