new to me V4 1000, a question please.

I've got a 2014 demo and pick it up when it stops raining. After riding both the new 1100 and the outgoing 1000, I did notice the new model is more comfortable. My first question is , I'm 5'10" and find that the 1000 screen just doesn't give me the protection I would like. Is there any other aftermarket screen that will offer good wind protection without buffeting the helmet. I've got pricing on the 1100 seat and will fit one to see how it looks with the existing rear perch, which will never be used.

I have the Aprilia official touring screen and it gives great protection.

In fact, so much so that I have just taken it back off as it makes it too easy to sit at warp factor 9 :lol

I have the puig screen works wounders 160mph and still effective. (Private roads :lol)

I did the same thing. Had the MRA screen, which also looks good but it was too easy to go too fast. Naked looks best and keeps you below 3 figures.

I have a tinted MRA screen, it is the shorter version not the high touring one, it is a massive difference from the standard screen and also looks good.

I'm 5'10" as well & fitted a tinted MRA screen to my black V4....bit fiddly to fit but looks good and really does the trick!

MRA tinted for me too. I'm 5'11" and it's perfect. I found it really easy to fit. You need to turn the brackets slightly to get them at the correct angle for a good fit, but no real problems other than making you ride beyond speed limits too often. So much easier on the body with no buffeting.
