I pick up a new V4 next week, 2014 model, as a matter of interest, what mode do most of you ride in, i am planning on using road mode initially , then sport, do most of you run track mode ? + 15t sprocket? Will i be the only tart running road mode and 16t sprocket? Will i be the slowest on this forum ?:dunno

I'm running a 16t sprocket but with a few engine mods :biggrin but only mode I use is T.

T mode all summer, but I would suggest you start in S mode until you get used to it as on the stock ecu/mapping T mode can be a little abrupt to say the least and throttle response is a little softer in S mode.

i run t mode when out ripping and when get back in to town switch over to sport for all the stop starting and a 15 tooth front sprocket
cheers

Personally, I like S mode. I ran it in T for a while last summer, but just find the throttle smoother (or more accustomed to my needs at least) in S mode. I use R mode if riding in the wet or around town - the latter is a lot less on/off throttle at low speed. If showing off for engine sound, put it in T.

Try them all out and see which feels right. You'll also need to experiment with T/C levels and AWC - I set mine to 6 and 2 from memory.

Wrong forum, this is for V4's however the chip you want is a Gabro Chip:

And to answer the original question only ever used T mode, not sure what the others do.........:yes

When I took mine out for a test ride, the guy at the dealership (not Aprilia I might add but said he had worked in one in Swindon) said r for race, s for sport and t for touring.....that was a laugh I can tell you first time out on slightly damp roads!!!!!!!! Hurt my face for hours after because of unstoppable grinning from ear to ear.

R is for road not race and is the map that restricts most power in lower gears. T is for track and is the least restricted.

There is a race map, but that is not standard.

S mode while commuting and T mode on the weekends. S mode is smoother while lane splitting (SoCal) and being in "Track" mode would sound bad during a depo if I'm in a accident.

S mode for me I find T a bit harsh and in S mode it's plenty mad enough.

Other: TC 4 abs 2 wheelie control off.

Ive done just over 500 miles on the V4 now, awesome bike, it impresses me more on every ride, roads are ***** up my way just now but Im out most days, I traded a street triple for the Tuono, the street T is a great bike but the Tuono leaves it standing20150210_120236.jpg20150210_120143_HDR.jpg20150206_132339.jpg Standard exhaust sounds very good, I'm not sure if I'll spend dosh on aftermarket one as I'm well pleased with standard.

Using Sport mode mostly, but yesterday in pishing rain used Road mode, although the corsas are very good on dry roads the back has let go a few times in the wet, I run PR3s on another bike and they never let go in the wet
