Check the serial number of the engine. If it's lower than 8176929, it has the old stator which can be (but not always) problematic. Other than that, you might search the forum for things like the brown connector and other potential problems. But I've got an '08 with around 8K miles (bought it with 6K) and it's been good to me so far.

Good luck with the purchase Steve and welcome.
Go into it with your eyes open and accept that ALL Italian bikes have there quirks which we all call character and differentiate them from the Domestic appliances of Japanese flavour.
Enjoy!

T's are pretty bombproof, but ask when and if the suspension dogbone bearings have been greased.Bolt on goodies left by the previous owner can be good,...especially if the rear shock has been uprated.

I had an 06 for 4 years with no problems other than the clocks misting up in the summer.
Great bike, buy it and have some fun.

watch out for dodgy knock off levers fitted badly by previous owner!

I have just fell into that trap :thumb down..

Can be sorted but its a lot of messing about, would much preferred to have bought the bike with standard levers.

Thanks all I have now got a 57 plate factory its a very early 08 nice but not charging plug on the yellow wires good so I am looking at the resistance on the stator windings will be looking for info, on the site Roll on summer
