My '07 Factory is running too well

Hi Gang, nice to join the group. I just bought an 07 Factory and took it out for a first ride. After a fresh fill-up she isn't running too well off idle. Matter of fact she about shuts-off at part to full throttle until she hits around 4000rpm. I guess it is just a bad tank of fuel which is just my luck. I am going to drain out the fuel and try again...Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi and welcome!

Have you checked the condition of the spark plugs? First thing I do when I get a new bike is change the oil, filter and plugs.

Aye mucker yer got a fine lookin machine there.

Getting the old fuel out isn't a bad idea and while you're there check that the overflow tube isn't blocked and that there's no water in the tank.

You have already filled up with fresh fuel,...unless you put diesel in there,I cant see that is the problem.Could be a blocked breather,as suggested earlier.i see you have Leo Vince cans fitted,...has the fuelling been swapped to Map 2?Running on the standard Map1 would produce similar symptoms.A dealer with an Axone meter would need to check that.
Worst case scenario?The bike is a 2007,...what is the mileage?Could be the early indication of the stator about to melt.Check the battery is receiving charge with the motor running.
