Gabro race map unleashed

Just been looking through the manual that came with the Akrapovic exhaust and it states, that if the bike has the standard exhaust with the catalyser in place and then the ECU changed to the race map will "seriously damage the motor" It also states that using a full race system without changing the mapping will do the same.

So, unless your running a none cat system then you could be at danger of blowing the bike up???

As with most bikes, the extra fuel just burns up and destroys the cat, any exhaust mod should have the fueling changed to suit. Saw an RSV4 with race map and akra slip on with cat which had clogged the cat in it, if he had put the race link pipe on would have been fine.

Gabros race map is tested from a Tuono V4 with standard headers and Arrow can I believe.

Hmmm - starting to not like the sound of this lol. Does your dash have the work RACE on it now you have change it?

Yes, with the Gabro map the word "race" does appear on the dash.

Think there is a decat pipe for sale in the classifieds, Markey has got one I beleive. Then race map it up :thumbup
