I did the rear brake `upside down`bleed method today and for the first time since I`ve owned the bugger it has a rear brake that works !!!.I wonder how long it will last :dunno.I realy dont see this being a permanant fix all the time the master is horizontal not vertical :ponder

I have got to say, those rear sets by griff look bloody good,what is the cost of them ?

About £260 polished, £250 black. ask about discount ? i got it as being member Club Aprilia. Griff is always there if you have an issue, like refitting cyl brkt to engine case because of bolt length, bottom r/h side of my photo just. you wont regret it ,better brake a smoother gear change!

After a total rebuild of the brakes (seals / hoses etc), I have been bleeding the brakes on an old jap bike & historically they have been a nightmare.

I recently read about using a big plastic syringe (about 6"" long & 1" diameter) on the bleed nipple which is used to suck the fluid through from the master cylinder.

It worked a treat, it filled the system up with fluid without pumping the lever & then only needed a bit of bleeding to get them spot on.

Cant say it will work on everything, but I will certainly be using this method again.

Quick & very little mess.
 
go the other way, bleed from the caliper up to the master cylinder (blow the fluid up through the caliper), you are pushing any air up, the natural direction air wants to go, works much better again
 
I think I will give it a go next time, Cheers CTD.

I have one of those EEZY BLEED things for the car, but not all master cyliders are round (Suzuki are rectangular).

They use an adaptor from a tyre to use compressed air to push it from the master to the slave cylinder.
 
I tried 1 of those EEZY BLEED on my clutch last yr, didn't get a very good seal, and brake fluid every bloody where. I'm a lucky buga that way.
