That looks sweet matey, and from my research the stamp is the important thing. The baffles in/out thing isn't really an issue. If the rozzers stop you and tell you it needs to be MOT assessed or whatever you put the baffles back in beforehand - thats the way I see it anyway :thumbup

Mine should be here tomorrow I'll take some pics & maybe a vid and mine was £144 delivered :)

There's a post (sticky) on AF1 about putting it onto map 2, that really is an easy fix and you can see if it's already been done, mine was
already done and it's got an akra 2x2 system on and it sounds well. Just got to sort the sprockets out next, it's a pain around town.
Oh and mine is the grey version.

Been researching this map1/map2 wotsit - as in cutting the wire for map2 and found this:

'Just to confirm i had a word with my mate who had the 03 Rsv regards the chip maps as he had done research on it prior to fitting aftermarket chips and whether to cut the wire or not.
He sent me the reply that his dealer sent him after consulting Aprilia when they were asked the question.

After talking to Aprilia Tech they told me that on the Aprilia RSV Titanium E-prom & SP Titanium E-prom there is only one map and therefore you do not need to cut the wire if you install one of these chips on your bike.

What we also have been told by Aprilia is that on 2003 RSV & Tuono there is only one map on the stock chip and the wire does not need to be cut on these bikes, we have never done that since on all the Touno, RSV and RSV-R's we have delivered. '

So mine being a 2003 if this is the case it appears there is no point in cutting the wire??

That means that that eprom is designed for the stock fueling needed for the stock airbox and them particular exhaust. If you change the airbox or cans it alters the fueling, thats why different eproms are needed. It doesn't alter much but can upset running a bit and fuel economy.

Bats been telling you this :thumbup

Nob bats a techno whizz though. Stix and myself can just about distinguish who's bike is who's when they're parked next to each other. I changed the chip which came with mine. It runs fine. Jobs a good un

Nob - I get it but bat suggested cutting the wire to release map 2 whereas if that info I quoted above is correct there is no map 2 & it won't do anything (on 03 bikes onwards).

I may be **** with the spanners but I'm no stranger to remapping. My old Subaru I remapped twice. Once after changing exhaust/filter & second after swapping turbo. Cost a small flipping fortune each time - about 600 notes. Nice results though :thumbup

Bay. I know which is which ffs! Mines not as noisy. Bollox my exhaust should be here Friday, what will I do then?

Change it n go out and ride it? Isn't it raining fri though. **** weather forecast for this weekend

Mine had the wire cut when i bought it and it doesn't seem to have any adverse effect....runs well as far as i can tell...that said i am going to order a Gabro chip just so the fuelling is spot on as the airbox has been modded as well.....fireblade sidestand mod coming up next when it arrives:thumbup

Must say I've never been so careful on any bike as this when stopping as the stand is pants. Ask bay about stands he's a stand dancing hip cracking guru.

I've started taking my cod liver oil tablets and am noticing the benefits. Not had any cracking groins for a few weeks. I'm sure it'll come back at some point.

At least you don't have to have a hip replacement soon :(

FFS I'm only 41! Apparently martial arts don't help these things.

Hmm. ****. I take inspiration from my father in law who has numerous health issues but still turns up now and again on his brand new trumpet sprint. He's 71.

Thanks mate. No he enjoys the odd night of excessive sniftering. Music to my ears.

Hey New is that your bike you posted a YouTube link to a while ago? Just bought myself something similar, same company only their Hawk range.
