Quick action throttle

After todays session I need a quick throttle, too much twist in the throttle for my liking and wrist, find myself not getting the power down quick enough due to having to re adjust my hand.

My intention is to reduce about 20% of the twist.

After a google I have found some, but they aint cheap :eek

So stand by for a DIY project :yes

had one previousy with a 50 cam on my last bike, emailed and they do one for the T (lots cheaper too).

Well today I made my own:

Started off with some 1" sanitary pipe I had lying about, cut off the relevant width and tapered the edges with sandpaper.

Whacked it on with araldite, and placed back in housing but would not return very well so had to modify it again as was rubbing, ended up cutting the return half of of the white pipe off as it was sticking, you dont need that half anyway its the circumfrence difference in the throttle half that will create the quick action.



So it worked, snapped back into place and was evident there was less twist.



The movement is now 19mm the circumfrence of the barend is 103mm so by my maths thats 66 degrees of twist to full.

If anyone wants to measure the amount of twist in standard throttle will work out the difference between the two.

Well thats much better, not too harsh at all but allows you to give it the beans in one short stroke, not sure if a 42 tooth would be a bit too flighty with this mod......

....but will try it and find out :thumbup
