Got an 08 Tuono & ride through UK winter, anyone fitted any handguards to this year or previous years model? Saw some in Spain at weekend that were orange coloured and had TNT on them but a search on Google didn't help.

I know what you mean i was going from west lancs to newcastle at 5am 2 weeks ago and it was bloody freezing so i got on the case right away I have found some that fit with a few alterations tested out last weekend at 6 am dark and cold with summer gloves on they work i am away at the moment will try and post some pics and part numbers sat if i can workout how to attach photo,s

I've not tried it, but "Pro Taper" mx bars look a whole lot like the bars on the T. I'd guess that any off road handguards that are sold as compatable with Pro Tapers would work. The all plastic ones will be easier to fit than the ridged aluminum types. Acerbis Ralley series might be worth a look.

Hi mick doc I have fitted KTM 990 adventure hand guards {black} to my 08 Tuono just for the winter ,some small mods were needed junior hacksaw and small file. I Made some slightly longer bar ends out of s/s but they were not really needed. I looked around local bike shops and local meets for ideas ,and they were the right shape matched the mirrors and in this weather work brilliant been out to day in summer gloves

I chased this down after seeing mention of "carbon fiber pivot handguards" in the accessories list in Aprilia's press sheet for the '07 and later model years. The particular part referenced in the link is for the Pegaso Strada but it's the only item that came up when I searched Aprilia's accessories site.

A US site for the same thing.
Personally, I'm going to try and order the Pegaso carbon fiber handguards and mount them on my Tuono. I have a high level of confidence that it will work. I'll report back after I've tried it and include pictures if I'm successful.

The carbon fiber handguards aren't available for purchase in the states :/

Well it's that time of the year when we start looking at things like this again, (well I do anyway). Has anyone fitted 'em to an early model ('04) Tuono? I've sent a query to AMS as Vermicious indicated. Waiting for their reply now.
I've read where the KTM ones, which are fine for the Mk2 models foul the fairing on the Mk1s.
I did think about trying those on the Dorsadora - has anyone done this? Bet they're not cheap.
