Hi could someone please tell me (via Pm) how to bypass the immobiliser on my RSV. I'm pretty sure what to do but just want it confirmed before I fry anything. I snapped the end off my only key with a transponder in and can't be bothered paying for a new key to be coded and cut. Also I think immobiliser is on its way out as I have to use kill switch to turn the bike off. Thanks in advance

My immobilizer is broken and I don't want to buy another used one on ebay for $400! Pls pm me how you did it. My bike is Aprilia rsv1000 2004
Tnx

Need help please.

So I figured it out on my own no thanks to anyone. Which confirmed my original thought on why I don't understand why people won't share the info. It's so simple to bypass the immobilizer that any average bike theif would already know how to bypass it and get your bike started in literally 5 mins. So that is a very dumb excuse to use for not sharing. A hint to everyone, just study the wiring diagram in the maintanence maual. If you still have any doubts PM me and we can talk.

Hey any way you can possibly email me a photo or video on how to bypass the immobilizor? [email protected]

It's OK I held my breath and did it. Managed to bypass the immobiliser so I no longer need transponder chips in my keys. Not bad for a 10 minute job.

I'm in need of a bypass as immobiliser light has permanent dull glow an flattens the battery. Bike still starts but can't be relied upon to get you home!! Can you send me details by pm?

Just the normal Bypass probably won’t help you as it merely prevents the immobiliser from activating, but the unit remains in circuit and drawing power.

Okay
Thank you

I guess the answer is to but a new immobiliser module (Price??) and fit that. I still have bothnmy coded keys so what is the procedure to connect the two?? Is it the key n procedure or is a dealer trip required?
Many thanks if you can advise

You could go the new unit route. They are expensive though. No dealer required, just a Specific key insertion sequence. A used unit won’t help you unless it has keys with it as you can’t recode them without at least one original key.

90% of the problems with the unit is dry Solder joints, so if it were me I would cut it open and re solder the joints and then seal it with silicone etc. Chances are it will fix it.

Cheers. Might go that route if I cant find the dodgy connector...

Look up how to remove the immobiliser totally. Or look at the wires going to and from it with the wiring diagram from your manual and you can work out which wires you need to cut and join to bypass it.

If it's causing you a headache take it off and look at the unit inside. Water ingress can cause issue and dry/cracked or rusted joints will need sorting if you wish to retain it. You can trace the wire from the key pickup to give you pointers

Also wondering how to bypass the immobilizer, I’ve had the bike for about 7 years, killed about 5 batteries and am at wits end. Can show proof of ownership but this bike is very close to getting pushing into a ditch with the title and key in it. Cheers

also anyone have a proper wiring diagram, I can’t read the small print on all the ones I’ve tried to download.

The Aprilia dealer should be able to tell you how if you prove ownership. If you take the cover off the immobiliser you will see what wires connect to what inside and can work out how to bypass it that way. However if you keep your bike on a charge when not in use the immobiliser drain is minimal anyway. Remove the two 30amp fuses if it’s just the battery drain that concerns you. If you battery is going flat that quick it’s got a drain more and above the immobiliser
