Hi could someone please tell me (via Pm) how to bypass the immobiliser on my RSV. I'm pretty sure what to do but just want it confirmed before I fry anything. I snapped the end off my only key with a transponder in and can't be bothered paying for a new key to be coded and cut. Also I think immobiliser is on its way out as I have to use kill switch to turn the bike off. Thanks in advance

It's OK I held my breath and did it. Managed to bypass the immobiliser so I no longer need transponder chips in my keys. Not bad for a 10 minute job.

Opened the immobiliser today, water had got through the seal somehow and the solders look a bit crappy... At least it's sorted. Time to sort out the non existent rear brake!!

Immobiliser issues

Hi would it be possible to pm me with details of how you bypassed the immobiliser, I have had several garages look at my bike and as yet none of them have come up with a solution other than to buy a new immobiliser.

I don't want to spend unnecessary money buying a new immobiliser.

Can someonePLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pm me the details on how to bypass the immobilizer. I’m sort of in the same pickle as OP. I broke the end off my only programmed key and I’m left with an unprogrammed key that is now only good for just unlocking the forks.

Just tape the broken key on the side of the barrel in the short term as the chip is in the head of the key and will deactivate the immobilisor when near the barrel. Then take it to a key cutter and ask them to clone the chip into a new key. Key cloning is not expensive.

I tried that and it’s not reading the programmed key for some reason. Thats what the dealership said I could do as a quick fix.

Tried that as well. NOBODY in the San Diego area can clone an Aprilia Key. I have literally went down a list of locksmiths and dealerships on yelp and everyone that I talked to said they can't clone my key. I'm at the point that I really want to just remove the immobilizer or sell the bike. This has been a headache that I have been dealing with for almost six months and I'm beyond frustrated. That being said if no one wants to share with me how to bypass/remove the immobilizer, I'm more than likely going to sell my bike and let them deal with this garbage.

So I figured it out on my own no thanks to anyone. Which confirmed my original thought on why I don't understand why people won't share the info. It's so simple to bypass the immobilizer that any average bike theif would already know how to bypass it and get your bike started in literally 5 mins. So that is a very dumb excuse to use for not sharing. A hint to everyone, just study the wiring diagram in the maintanence maual. If you still have any doubts PM me and we can talk.

Its not people being unhelpful. To be honest we don't know you from Adam, you could be a bike thief with your eyes on a tasty Aprilia

Af1 do a cloning service by post ....not sure if amarui in south LA area has the bits

Unfortunately I dropped off the forum for a while but a private message would have got emailed to me so always consider that option

I’ve lost my only key to my 09 aprilia dorsoduro. I need to know how to bypass the immobilizer because I refuse to pay the stealership $980 for a replacement key. Someone please save my day!! Please directly email me at [email protected]

This could also read "I have seen a nice '09 Dorsoduro on the other side of town, How do I bypass the immobiliser so I can steal it?"

It could also be read the exact way I typed it out. I have a very real problem and clearly many other people are going through the same ****. God forbid we post the solution on a forum.. That would just make too much sense.. So instead we have to jump through all these hoops hoping someone will message you back on a year old thread.
I haven’t been able to ride my DD since August because I refuse to pay the dealership a grand when I see all these posts of people saying **** like “not too smart to tell you how to do that on a public forum, but let me message you telling you exactly how even though I have no idea who you are”
I’m seriously so fed up with aprilia at this point. My dorso is my favorite bike that I’ve ever owned and when I lost the key to it I was heartbroken. Then just to sweeten things up a bit I call the closest authorized aprilia dealership to me which is about 300 miles away, all they can tell me is that I need to replace my ecu, my lock set and my dashboard for $980. **** that. I’m losing respect for the name. Lesson learned, when you buy a used bike and it only comes with one key.. Make a copy for $30 instead of $1,000. I even spoke with the president of Aprilia and he couldn’t give 2 ***** less about my situation, as long as his company is getting money, customer satisfaction is out the window. Some one please help me.

It's easy if you LOOK at the wiring diagram for the bike. Man up please. The reason why no one circulates how to do it is because scrotes use the info to steal bikes.... A local alarm fitter would know what to do. Short arms long pocket syndrome should teach you not to lose your keys !

If it’s so easy to bypass just by looking at the diagram then why is this the worlds biggest secret? I do not know what to do... I don’t want to mess anything up by butchering my wiring harness, and I also don’t want to pay the stealership what they ask.. PM me please, I want my dorso to live again 😞

Later aprilia's have the immobilisor built into the dash. There is no bypass even for a dealer hence why they want $1000 for a new set of clocks or you look for a specialist who can re program yours, they do exist if your prove ownership.

Anyone handing out bypass info, whatever the bike to an unverified source is as good as handing over the keys. Hence why most requests are met with silence but in your case your asking for something that doesn't exist.
