2001 RSV Mille breaking for parts

Due to a recent accident I am breaking my beloved 2001 RSV Mille for parts. The bike is a cat B write off and cannot be put back on the road. I bought the bike at a good price from the insurer and will be sensible with pricing the bits.

The bike slid down the road on its L/H but its crash bobbins took most of the impact.

The damage was done when it hit the front of a 4x4, one wheel impacted the head stock and the other the seat hump. Most of the plastics have gone apart from the nearside lower fairing panel, the complete belly pan and both seat infill panels.

The frame and subframe are damaged along with the clocks tank and headstock. I had a CNC top yoke on renthal bars on it winch are bot dead but still have the originals.

Everything below the tank is pretty much OK, the wheels are perfect but I will be keeping the tyres and I have yet to check the fork legs for damage.

The engine is completely unscathed, has only done 12,000 miles and is in perfect running order. I will only sell the engine as a complete unit and can arrange delivery.

The parts are too numerous to price separately so please pm me with your requirements, I will send you a photo and we can agree a price. As I said I didn't pay much for the bike so I will be sensible. I do have to shift it as quick as I can as I've already bought another and the wife is going to kill me if I don't!!

A before and after photo is shown.

Many thanks
Gary

Those are 'before' and 'after' images, yeah? I assume the top fairing is toast? Silly question, I know.

No the original top fairing is intact as I took it off when I did the CNC high bar conversion on it and replaced it with a damaged one that I bought and cut down to fit the bars. If you look on the "after" pic you will see it is black, my plan was to have it sprayed to match when I took the bike off the road in the winter.

I was planning on keeping the top fairing and cutting it down as I am doing the same bar conversion (not CNC this time though) on the Mille R I have just bought.

After saying all that It would be a shame to cut the top screen down as it is in perfect nick. I will see if I can find a damaged one to do surgery on first before I sell though, that is a less damaged one than the mashed up one that is in my shed at the moment!

Right, I've finished stripping the bike and sorting the bits so I will post up the bits as I sort them out.

Fork legs. Usual scuffs where the yokes clamp on and mudguard touches but other than that good condition for a 2001 bike. £150 plus postage for the pair.

Cheers bud. Any chance of emailing me over a couple of pics of the top fairing? Ta. :thumbup

My top fairing is wrapped up in the loft. I will have to wait till my son gets home next week to get out to photograph as I've got a broken collar bone and can't get in.

Cheers bud. Any chance of emailing me over a couple of pics of the top fairing? Ta. :thumbup
