Hi guys how are we all ? I'm looking at buying a rsv100r 2004
I'm a bit confused by the whole thing as some 03 04 are the newer shape :confusedView attachment 6402 but the one I'm looking at is the older shape and do the R versions have ohlins ? This is going to be my first twin as Ive always fancied a rsv

That's the bike in the pic that's randomly ended up in the wrong place :dunno

Welcome along that's not an R no ohlins and no carbon ears etc but it looks a clean bike I saw it on ebay.

Late 03 R would have ohlins forks, ohlins rear shock, radial calipers, various carbon items and black frame and swinger.

The normals RSV that year had the plain alloy frames which that bike is ,it has Oz wheels thoughs that make a big difference.

Gen1 bikes are 98-03.single headlight

Gen2 came out very late 03 twin headlight

So,you will get gen1 on 04 plates and some,gen2 on an 03 plate as they crossed over.

Welcome along to,the forum

It is a nice looking bike I'm just slightly put off by it says it a r and it's not as log book and hpi say it is

Yeah late ones have rsv1000r on them for some reason? It's all been mentioned before .... But because they cross over with the gen2 in the same year I think that's where it all goes wrong as the standard gen2 got called the R model and the R equipped gen2 got called a factory...confused ha ha

Ask about the ohlins suspension to see if it has the rear shock as it has Showa forks.

brembo brakes??l standard across the range so why say that?

Go in at £2400? On the premise that it's not an rsvr but an rsv with Oz wheels and possibly an ohlins rear shock see what he says

It's actually a fair price already in my eyes but he is open to best offers so try him
