As my Shoei XR1000 is getting on a bit, thinking of getting the new HJC Lorenzo monster one ..... any one got any experience with these helmets?

Cheers Si

I have an HJC "Lordship" carbon fibre lid, seem to be very good quality , not had any issues so far although the sizing I find is generous so definately best to try it on first.

Would I reccomend them yes with all the usual caveats :)

Thanks Kiwi, I must admit I'm a Shoei fan but there colour schemes leave a lot to be desired and Arai's don't fit and it was the colour scheme of the HJC that caught my eye and they do seem to get a lot of positive reviews with the only weakness being the visor cracking - but that appears to be due to operational error. Will try one on this weekend.

Awesome lid, carbon matrix, and has the same fit in my opinion as a shoei. Lighter than my xspirit 2 as well, and plush inside. Recommended. Only thing for me was I take a large in HJC when normally a medium.

Thanks Harlequin will get some testing done over the weekend, Demon Tweeks can do it for me for a smidge under £350 delivered.

I have the rpha Lorenzo rep and love it, as comfy as my older arai and light as a feather, the pin lock system is awesome too, I have had shoei, agv and arai, the hjc is by far the best I have owned

Hi mate, I bought the 2013 design 'Prester' which I managed to get for £160 new, but I know the RR graphics are more expensive.

Picked up the helmet, very impressed, so light and seems as good as my old shoei - even comes with pin locks and extra tinted visor !

I love my new hjc lid. So much slimmer then the shoei that I have always gone for. Nothing looks stranger then a chick with a massive lid on haha. The colours are awesome too! Happy Days

Which one did you go for?

Ha ha no worries - over the last few months had been thinking I would be better off with a jet ski lol !!

It sure has lol but luckily it's been fine the past few days and got to try out the new helmet. Wow very impressed, so light and much quieter than my shoei too. Stopped at a popular bike stop (Betws-y-coed) and spotted someone with the same helmet and it did look good !

Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words Claire......

I have always worn hjc, very nice lids but try to get the size that's a real snug fit as they tend to become loose over time

Gah - fail my pic is sideway. I'm only new here; that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it haha
