hi there
been lurking around this site for a while now,been into bikes for around 30 years,mostly jap in line 4's with the odd single,been needing to scratch that v-twin itch.
just bought a 51 plate rsv millie,pick it up next week,hopefully they are as good as i have heard.
i'll stick up some photo's later.

Twins take a bit of getting used to...not high rev motors but high torque monsters..find the sweet spot and they are fun fun fun

just picked up a mivv can and link pipe off egay to replace the pedal bin on the side :smilie
 
well, i said i wasn't going to do much to it at first.......i've got a rex and a lawson rep and a zx7r in the stable too
but the 7 is going to make room for the millie.

il pass on this one ,, as the bike is fast enough for me as it is with the power commander & akrapovik blowers . but you seem to no about these bikes , heres a question , its fitted with a sponge air filter {looks like mega flow} & no air box . therefor there is nowere for the blow back pressure from the engine to go . with 16k miles on the bike , there does be a little drip of oil from the blow back pipe on top of no2 cylinder , is there an after market oil tank {breather tank "bottle"} that I can get .?

cheers for that Dr_D. at the moment ive got mine breathing trew a pipe down to a little bottle that ive mounted beside the gear change , but I wear white stylemartin boots & my left boot does get oil stains . how long have you had your breather filter fitted to your bike ? & if you don't mind , how many miles are on it ?

welcome mate, you got that one from Morven Motorcycles then? It looked pretty clean!

I bought the 04 RSVR from him a couple of weeks ago.. and the black Shiver 750 was my old bike..

still no response on this EFI warning light that flicks on my rsv R .. any one got any ideas please ?
 
yeah i got it from Morven,never been there before so never saw the rsvr,out of my price range really.
tinkering with the bike just now,back brake should be better shirley!!!
 
terriffic!! 3 hoodie *******s tried to steal the bike at work today,they got scared off but trashed the steering lock
got it on cctv ,but doubt much can be done.
can't turn the key to switch it on or turn the wheel to the right,don't know whether to involve insurance as they might right it off
wot a bummer......
 
******* jokin mate? thats crap! :( if you need a hand fixing it up let me know..

where about did they try and take it from? not good ..
