led light modification

K

killaprilla

hi guys was sat at home thinking about the bike as you do and thought of a great way to improve the rear lights - mine has the clear indicators so i got some ultra bright leds and set about the task - took about 35 minutes roughly - i was so impressed with the results i thought id share it -

for anyone interested i can supply the led's - cable sleeving - heat shrink and instructions for about £6.00 including postage

i think it doesnt only look good in the flesh but at night increases visibility

Why don't you do a 'How To' guide for the guys so they can copy what you've done?

Then PM Crash and get it stickied. :doug

PS. Forgot to say, looks good! :thumbup

yeah can post a how to by all means - no probs - but as i work for an auto elec company i can get the parts required - most place's wont sell a few inch of this and that etc (heatshrink - sleeving ) - and not all ultra bright led's are 12v

:supergay
Nice one Wes,,,,,,,,,,, count me in ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

yeah dave can be made to work with brake light -so they just come on with brake lights however - i can also make them so they are approx 3/4 brightness with tail lights then full brightness with brake lights - simple resistor and blocking diode setup :)
