Aloha all! New guy (to the forums and Aprilia) saying hello.
Have been a sport rider for a long time, and have dreamed of owning a Tuono since they started bringing them to the States.
As of three weeks ago, I sold off the SV650 and bought an 07 Tuono R.
I picked up a demo model (had 3500 miles, but came with new warranty, etc). The bike rides great, but since the purchase, Ive been a bit disappointed.
It started with the rear brake. It just stopped working all together.
Then, I had a small coolant leak coming from the silver tube on the right side of the bike where the silver tube is connected to the radiator with a small rubber piece.
So, I take it to a dealer (not where I purchased it) an hour and 1/2 away and they tell me no problem...we'll getcha taken care of. I assumed the rear brake would simply be bled, they'd fix the coolant leak and Id be on my way. Two days later I get a call from the service dept saying that my parts have been ordered and "we'll call ya when its ready."
Anxiously awaiting the call telling me that its ready. Just never expected problems right off the bat.
I am pleased with the bike overall, just dealing with these little problems is frustrating. I do want to swap the front sprocket and eventually the exhaust, but right now, Im good with the way she sits. And cant wait to get her to a track day!
