Just bought a 2013 Capo with 12000 klms and the heated grips don't turn on. Wondering about a fuse. And the A adjustment button that is used to adjust the traction control doesn't have any effect when pushed, thanks

Thought I'd mention the heated grips only work with rpms over 2-2.5k - they auto shut off when idling at traffic lights etc. If they still don't work, assuming your model has them fitted.... maybe take the screen off and check under the faux carbon instrument cover to make sure they are connected properly or the wiring isn't crimped/damaged in the steering head cable holder (I routed mine away from this as heavy control cables would damage light electrical wiring to the grips).
If they aren't actually heated and you want hot grips.... best to buy the 'Oxford' hot grips for $120..... the Prilla ones are too expensive.
I can't remember the button sequences so you'll have to check the owners manual for details...... maybe there is something online? I think most functions required pushing both buttons, ie one to select something & the other to make a change..... but it's been way too long since I owned a 1200TP to remember.
Gotta say, you're pretty game buying one of the first model Capo12's with the small radiator - I've never seen one on the roads...... only 2014-015 second models here in QLD. A real pity the model lasted only 3yrs..... bad management of a great concept..... Aprilia sales are now down 20% in latest YTD stats!

Look into that. Live on Kangaroo Island where even the sealed roads are rough. I have to say the ADD works amazing well. Smooths the bumps out better than any bike I've owned including my 950 Adventure. Thanks for the wire routing tip, I'll check it out because I don't even get the icon on the screen.

Hi Chief...... google the 2014-2017 Caponord forum..... heaps of pics. The radiator was bigger (ie longer up-down ways), lower cowls changed, longer front mudguard..... sorry can't recall much more (and there could have been a few secret internal changes that we never heard about).
The changes were made for the 2014 2nd MY - the bike stayed unchanged until it's demise in 2016. Any stock of new bikes on special are carry over 2016 build's - the Rally would be the pick for anyone after something different as it was a later version with several big improvements over the TP version.
1200TP was much nicer to ride than it's major competitor (MS1200S Touring) but Piaggio and Aprilia Aus are doing their best to chase owners away. Latest I read was sales down 20% for Aprilia in Aus...... they should have kept the Caponord going eh!
You will not be able to do much more than change the oil and filters as special tools are required for fork oils, re-setting the exhaust flapper valve, clearing any error codes. Hopefully you have an Aprilia friendly experienced service guy near by. luckily, the valves will not wear so long as the oil is changed every 10k kms or sooner (I did mine every 5k kms, but I was using Motul5100 15w50 semi syn)..... it is a major 8 hr job to pull off all the body work and drain coolant just to get to the valve covers!..... so the 20k km services are about $1200.00.
I had a good run with my 014TP (did 40,000kms in 2 years then bought a KTM1290GT
)...... but others around the world seemed to complain about everything/anything and some had real lemons that guzzled oil or failed regularly....... not my experience, but the continuous complaints and the dealership upheaval here in Aus was enough for me to jump ship.
