Being a bit short in the trouser dept at 5 ft 7 (and a wee bit), I killed 2 jobs with one stone and replaced the rusted dogbone arm bearings and made an adjustable link from a 12 x 1.75 turmbuckle and spherical rose joints. I had to cut the turnbuckle down and shorten a rose joint thread but there is more than 15mm inside the turnbuckle, secured by the 5mm wide locknuts. I also ground approx 3mm off the sidestand foot to bring the angle back to a reasonable attitude from centre.

I can either raise (not in my case!) or lower the ride height accordingly. I lowered it 10mm and dropped the forks through the yokes 8mm (2 lines). It has transformed the bike from being wary of tippy toeing at cambered stops to now having both feet securely on the deck with my heel approx. 40mm off the deck. Happy chappy :)
