Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, I was an active member on here until swopping my Tuono Factory for a full-on tourer that was the ZZR1400, on the basis that I felt the need for more wind protection and greater long distance touring ability for my annual jaunts to Europe.

Well, I have now seen the error of my ways, as I found the big bus was just no good on my local twisty roads in the Scottish Borders, and the bike sat unused in the garage - no good!

So decided to go back to a streetfighter - but which one?

Considered:-
Ducati 1000 Monster / Streetfighter
KTM
Tuono / Shiver
BMW GS

But decided on this..............

I know it's not a Tuono, but I hope you approve!

May well come back to the Tuono fold when they put the V4 engine into it, now that will be something!

I was also trying decide between the cb1000 and the T factory, but since i've had a honda's for ages went for the T
Was going to get done up in repsol colours too

Very pretty bike.

Rode one, almost crashed as i fell asleep.

I'd rather sit on a KTM toaster :)

Its looks lush mate.
The guy who had my T before me bought 1 of those. I keep in touch with him, he reckons he hasn't gelled with it after 4000 miles, and misses the grunt from the V twin.
I hope you enjoy it

NOW THATS NOT VERY NICE NOW IS IT!

My findings are that the CB turns quicker than the Tuono, is more comfortable and modern, cleaner styled and just nimbler.

Out and out performance feels similar, though I would say the Tuono is ultimately quicker, as it produces more power and torque. CB is certainly smoother, particularly around town, and the power is more accessible and useable - but then you don't get the boom, boom of the vee twin motor either!

I can see and appreciate the attraction of both bikes, as I say, when they update the Tuono and put the V4 in there, I may well be back!

Until then, keep it shiney side up!

I had one of those before my Factory. I hope you enjoy it. Personally i found it handled superbly but i had a series of warranty issues that put me off (frame covers, rusting sub frame, thin paint) and i thought the gearing was extremely low. I was always looking for another gear, though on the twisties you live on that shouldnt be so much of a problem. It felt more like a 600 on the A roads and motorways i live by.

If you havent done it already, i'd suggest you pop across to www.HondaCB1000R.Com to see how to avoid a few of the usual problems. I went on the CB1000R summer meet and they are a good bunch.

What do you expect to hear? :dunno

This forum is called TUONOzone. :yes

I suspect that it's members are biased towards, and I am just guessing, Tuonos?

It's your, bike, if you like it, enjoy.

Just don't expect a lot of compliments from this forum.

Looks nice.
That is as close as I will get to one though. They are not bringing them to the US. :thumbdown

Tuono, hmmmmmmmn, oh yeah, been there, done that.......just trying something else and thought I'd share with a forum I'm still a member of. I wasn't seeking compliments just comments!

Bias is inevitable, I appreciate and expect that!

Certainly looks the part. I especially like the single sided swingarm. Honda's in the US for the most part, are a little too sanitized for my personal taste. I lean more toward the rippers and can overlook a few flaws. Maybe, if they would import this one I could become a fan.

Welcome back! Great bike in a great colour. Still nedd to do that Hartside run/meet-up some time dude!

A good looking bike . If I had seen one before the T I might have been tempted. I am kind of biased against Hon** but it is an eye catcher

I like there idea but I think it looks so wrong. Yes it has a single sider... but look at that wheel. It looks like its off a Nissan Micra. And the head light.... err Hello. Pukkared carp head?? Wheres the attitude?? Oh.... thats right, I forgot. Its in that mental split personality IL4... no wait.... Its not.

but what do I know.... I hve only owned 8 blades and a X11... etc.
